The Sunshine State
Sunshine! It warms up everything, and given the time of year, most of us are probably looking forward to a little more of it! It melts the snowy banks and the ice that forms in the dreary moments of Winter (for some). It brings light to this little tiny planet tucked into the folds of the Milky Way and even tends to bring with its rising a sense of well-being for a good majority of us! It also happens to be the last name of my favorite arborist – a guy I worked with for years when I owned my own landscaping business. For the most part, when I think of sunshine, I am generally driven toward thankfulness. I also tend to think of light, of course, and in so doing, I am inevitably drawn into the activity of thinking about the many things in my life that bring to me a sense of peace and stability, especially within the darker context of the little planet on which we live.
